(Educator or assistant certificate validation) Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Two certificates were not verified at the time of the inspection. The Licensee contact verified them during the inspection.
12140 - CCLR s.19(4)(a) - STAFFING
A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. During inspection licensing observed areas on the wall and the window sill where the gyprock is exposed, it is at the children's level, posing a risk to them as it appears they could easily be picking at it.
Corrective action. Please ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times to children in care.
