  A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. LO observed that the fire extinguisher had not been serviced. The service due date was August 6, 2025.

  Corrective action. Licensee stated she was in the process of servicing or purchasing a new one.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (a) the diagnoses relevant to the child's requirement for extra support, as made by health care professionals.

  Observation. No care plan available for a child requiring extra support.

  Corrective action. Licensee stated they would develop a plan with the family by the correct by date.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  The licensee must (a) develop the care plan in consultation with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

  Observation. one child who requires a care plan did not have one developed.

  Corrective action. Ensure each child requiring a care plan has one developed.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must have first aid kits that are readily accessible to all employees, including while care is provided off the community care facility premises.

  Observation. The first aid kit has insufficient supplies.

  Corrective action. Ensure that first aid kits are replenished with sufficient supplies; this kit should be readily accessible/available while care is provided to the children in/off the facility.

  Observation. 2 of 8 children's files reviewed did not have emergency contacts

  Corrective action. Ensure that each child has an emergency contact.

  A licensee must ensure that each employee (c) practices implementing the emergency plan at least once each year.

  Observation. The Manager said no emergency plan was implemented in the last year.

  Corrective action. Ensure that an emergency plan is implemented at least once per year.
