  A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].

  Observation. There is no record of an emergency drill being completed. The Manager said that they completed one last year.

  Corrective action. Ensure that there is a record of fire and emergency drills. This is a repeat contravention.

  Observation. The Licensee did not provide a written statement outlining the terms and conditions of refund to a person at the time of prepayment.

  Observation. Fire drill records were reviewed and one month was missing. Manager said that they discussed fire safety with the children in December but did not record it.

  Corrective action. Manager will ensure that the fire drills are always recorded.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry.   Observation. 1 of 3 staff files reviewed did not have proof of validation. Manager was not aware that this was missed.

  Corrective action. Manager will ensure that the files are reviewed regularly if any changes occur.

  Observation. Review of 6 children's files observed 1 missing the name and telephone number of a medical practitioner and emergency contact.

  Corrective action. Please ensure to obtain and record a name and telephone number of a medical practitioner and an emergency contact.

  Corrective action. Please ensure to obtain and record a medical insurance plan number for each child.

  Observation. Two children requiring care plans did not have one developed in consultation with the parent or any person requested by the parent.

  Corrective action. Ensure that each child requiring a care plan has one developed in consultation with the parent.
