  A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment].

  Observation. The licensee does not have a record respecting compliance with an annual emergency drill

  Corrective action. Ensure to practice and record practice of an annual emergency drill.

• STAFFING

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

  Observation. During review of 2 staff files Licensing noted that 1 had an expired Criminal Record Check. The Manager will ensure that an application is sent to the CRC Review Board for renewal. Licensing discussed with the Manager to have a health and safety plan in place until such time as the renewed CRC is received.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that there is a system in place to note when CRC'c expire to ensure that renewal is done in a timely manner.

  A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

  Observation. The name of the manager was not posted.

  Corrective action. Ensure that the name of the Manager is posted.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (i) a photograph or digital image of the child, and other information that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency.

  Observation. 2 of 8 children's files reviewed did not contain a photograph.

  Corrective action. Ensure that each child has a photograph or digital image that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency.
