- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. A child naps in a play yard in a designated napping room. Licensing observed a few unsecured electrical cords, including a couple that are suspended, that could be accessible to a child if the child were able to get out of the play yard. The play yard has two small holes in the mesh and the Licensee has added an additional memory foam mattress; which is not in keeping with the manufacturer's instructions to not add additional mattresses or padding.
Corrective action. The Licensee will secure the cords in the nap room and will replace the play yard. The Licensee removed the additional mattress during the inspection.
