Observation. - cleaning products in an unlatched drawer in both the upstairs and downstairs bathroom and spray room freshener accessible on the counter

Corrective action. Licensee will remove hazardous items from the cabinets until she has put a latch on each to ensure that children do not have access

A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

Observation. Licensing observed that the paint is peeling and wood is splintering on the wooden deck where children play on the outdoor play space, posing a potential risk of a child ingesting the peeling paint or getting a sliver.

Corrective action. The Licensee said that the deck will be sanded to remove any splinters or flaking paint.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed a portable heater that was unsecured on a shelf above children's height in the main play area. The cord to the heater was unsecured and within children's reach which could pose a hazard if a child pulled the cord and the heater fell.

Corrective action. The Licensee removed the cord from children's reach during the inspection.
