• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. Upon review of all employee records it is noted that one requires confirmation of COVID-19 immunization status. COVID-19 immunization status of employees is required so that in the event there is a COVID-19 outbreak in the facility, the Licensee is informed of whether any employees may not be able to work due to risk of exposure. Inform Licensing of addition of the COVID-19 immunization status to the record by May 7, 2026.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. Upon review of the Outdoor Inspection Log it is observed that records are maintained monthly. The Director of Licensing Standard Of Practice outlines that the Outdoor Inspection Log should include daily, monthly, annual and seasonal items of review. This record is required in order to reduce risk of injury in the outdoor play area(s) due to broken equipment or unsafe surfaces, and to demonstrate ongoing maintenance to maintain overall safety. Provide Licensing with an updated inspection log template that demonstrates that all aspects of inspection are addressed by May 7, 2026.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. Upon inspection of the outdoor play area near the field, it is observed that the protective surfacing under the swings, slides and climbing equipment is not well dispersed and requires disbursement or replenishment. Protective surfacing under equipment is required in order to reduce risk of fall injuries. Notify Licensing of the disbursement or replenishment of the protective surfacing by May 7, 2026.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. Upon review of the employee record it was noted that the ECE Certificate validation on hand was for an expired certificate. Having an up-to-date validation of certification on file is necessary in order to demonstrate that the Licensee has done their due diligence to ensure that the employee has an up-to-date certificate with appropriate level of training, and that there are no conditions or limits on the certificate. This item was resolved during the inspection. Ensure employee records contain all required documentation as per Section 19 of CCLR.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. Upon review of a sampling of child records it was noted that one record required a Medical Practitioner's phone number. The Medical Practitioner's phone number is necessary in the event the child requires medical attention while at the facility, this information can be provided to Emergency Services if necessary, or the facility can contact the Medical Practitioner directly and in a timely manner if necessary. Ensure that child records include all required information as per Section 57 (1) (2) of CCLR. Notify the Licensing Officer on or by April 17, 2025 that all child records are complete.

  Observation. Upon review of a sampling of child records several were found to be incomplete, requiring such items as: Child's name, correct date of birth, start date, Doctor's name and/or number. Discussed during this time that if a family does not have a doctor, then having the parent list what ER or clinic or medical service they would use, and the phone number (if applicable) would be appropriate. Records listed under Section 19(1) of Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR) are not present at the facility, as required as per Section 59 (a) of CCLR .

  Observation. Upon review of employee records it was noted that Criminal Record Review results were not on file for any employees. It was noted that these are kept off-site. It was also observed that Resumes, Reference checks, Immunization statements and validation of certificates of qualifications were not on file for some employees.
