• C10.2 - Are children supervised, and are employee to children ratios maintained?Critical

  Observation. Two care programs have nap areas that are separate rooms from the program areas. The current employee plan for one program does not meet the requirement if the group is separated into two rooms. An updated employee plan is required that outlines how Schedule E of the Child Care Licensing Regulation will be maintained when the children are napping in the designated nap rooms. A response is required by October 10, 2025 with the updated plan.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. Two care plans on file have not been reviewed in the past year. It is required that care plans for children are reviewed at least once per year to ensure the information is up to date for the health and safety of the child. A response is required by October 16, 2025 to confirm that all care plans have been reviewed with the parent and any person as requested by the parent.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. Two extension cords in the Group Child Care (30 months to School Age) program had open outlets and were within reach of the children. Electrical outlets need to be made inaccessible as they pose a risk of injury in young children. A response is required by October 14, 2025 to confirm the risk has been mitigated. A pot of hot coffee was observed to be within reach of the children in the Group Child Care (30 months to School Age) program. The pot was in the kitchen area beside the sink where the children frequently wash their hands. Hot coffee needs to be made inaccessible as it poses a risk of serious injury for children. A response is required by October 14, 2025 to confirm the risk has been mitigated.

  Observation. A fire drill was not conducted in the month of July 2023.

  Observation. All staff files are missing a record of the person's work history, character references and evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and TB control programs.
