• C6.1 - Are acceptable hygiene practices maintained?Non-critical

  Observation. The garbage bin in the washroom is not covered as required for diaper disposal. A covered container for soiled clothing disposal is required for the health and safety of children in care. A response is required by February 19, 2026 to confirm the risk has been mitigated.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. Care plans are in place for children who require extra support. Evidence the plans were developed in consultation with the parent was not available for review. Care plans are to be developed for children requiring extra support in consultation with the parent and any person requested by the parent. Confirm when plans are complete and outline the system developed to ensure care plans have the required information.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. A student volunteer was on site during inspection. The volunteer file is missing character references in respect of the person and evidence the person has complied with the Province's immunization program. A Licensee must not employ a volunteer until the the manager has met with the person and has obtained all of the required documentation. Confirm when the volunteer file is complete and outline the system developed to ensure volunteer files have all required information.

  Observation. One child's file is missing the name and phone number of a medical practitioner and the child's medical insurance plan number. A system is in place to log play space inspections, however inspections are not being documented daily.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. All staff files are missing character references.

• C1.2 - Does the licensee operate the facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care?Non-critical

  Observation. Mitigation plan is in place for long term Radon test currently being conducted in the facility.

• C8.2 - Is each child provided a comprehensive and coordinated program of developmentally appropriate activities that encourages physical, intellectual, language, emotional, and social development?Non-critical

  Observation. It was observed during inspection the outdoor playspace had not been used recently and was confirmed verbally by staff that children do not regularly go outside.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. Upon review of the minor incident log book it was noted that an incident with a child needing to seek medical attention due to a bead stuck in his nose had not been reported to Licensing.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. A piece of outdoor climbing equipment was in poor repair. Clearance around outdoor equipment was less than the six feet required.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. Attendance records missing time in and out. Facility missing daily/monthly/yearly outdoor play space inspection logs.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. A staff is missing evidence that they have complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.
