Observation. Care plans are on file for three children. The plans do not contain evidence they were developed in consultation with the parent. It is required that care plans are developed in consultation with the parent and any person as requested by the parent for the health and safety of the child. A response is required by August 29, 2025 to confirm all care plans contain the required information. Two care plans on file have not been reviewed in the past year. Care plans are required to be reviewed at least once per year with the parent to ensure the plan continues to meet the needs of the child. A response is required by August 29, 2025 to confirm care plans have been reviewed as required.

Observation. One employee file does not have character references for the person. A person must not be employed unless character references have been obtained by the Licensee to ensure the person is suitable to work with children. Observation. One employee's ECE certificate has not been verified through the ECE Registry. ECE certificates are required to be verified for every person who holds a valid ECE certificate. Submit to Licensing the system developed to ensure educator certificates are validated accordingly.

Observation. During inspection a person was identified as the manager who is a different person than what Licensing has on file for the facility. Licensing needs to be notified when there is a change of manager for a facility. A notification to Licensing needs to be submitted indicating the change of manager.

Observation. Through a review of children's files the start date was missing from several files. The date of enrollment for each child is required to be documented. Submit to Licensing the system developed to ensure children's files are complete prior to attendance. It was disclosed that outdoor play space inspections are occurring, however, are not documented. Outdoor play spaces are required to be inspected daily and documented to ensure the areas are safe for children and hazards are identified. Submit to Licensing the system developed to log all play space inspections, maintenance and repairs for daily, monthly and annual checks.

Observation. All staff files are incomplete and missing required information. Four files are missing character references, three files are missing evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization schedule, one file is missing evidence of the person's training and skills, and one file is missing a valid criminal record check. All required records must be obtained prior to employment for all person's who will be working with children. Submit to Licensing the system developed to ensure staff files are complete prior to employment and confirmation all files have been completed. It was observed that all employees did not practice implementing the fire drill system in January 2024. Every employee must practice implementing the fire drill system at least one a month. Submit to Licensing the system developed to ensure fire drills are completed every month.

Observation. In reviewing the emergency documentation it was noted that the emergency drill had not been practiced or reviewed since September 2021.

Observation. It was observed that one child's Epi-pen is kept at the facility and did not have the corresponding care plan or medication form for administration. It was verbally disclosed that one child's epi-pen is stored in the child's backpack in reach of the other children.

Observation. -The daily program of activities to guide employees is missing details to demonstrate how all requirements of Schedule G will be met. This information was provided during the inspection and therefore corrected during the inspection. No further action is required on this item. -The outdoor play space is a large field which does not provide clear sight lines from all angles. While most of the field is fenced a small portion is not. Licensing requests a supervision policy or procedure to demonstrate how employees will ensure ongoing health and safety in this area.
