    Observation. Employee files are incomplete. One file is missing character references and one file is missing the employee's immunization status. A person must not be employed until the manager has obtained the required records. A response is required by December 2, 2025 to confirm employee files are complete. All criminal record checks on file are not in the facility name. One employee who is working in the program does not have a valid criminal record check on file. It is the responsibility of the Licensee to ensure a person over the age of 12 is not ordinarily present unless a cleared criminal record check has been obtained. A response is required by December 8, 2025 to confirm criminal record checks are in the facility name and on file for all employees.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

    Observation. Children's files are incomplete. Two files reviewed are missing: the sex of the child, medical insurance plan number, name and number of a medical practitioner, and the child's immunization status. It is the responsibility of the Licensee to ensure children's records are complete to ensure the health and safety of the child while in care. A response is required by December 2, 2025 to confirm all records are complete. Two children in care at the time of inspection have additional medical needs that require a care plan for each. Both of the children do not have care plans developed on file as required. It is the responsibility of the Licensee to ensure care plans for children with additional medical needs are developed in consultation with the parent to ensure the health and safety of the child while in care. A response is required by December 2, 2025 to outline how care plans will be developed as required. If the children are still attending the facility, confirmation care plans have been completed is required.

  • C5.1 - Are healthy eating and nutritional habits promoted and practiced?Non-critical

    Observation. Children were observed having hot chocolate and juice boxes supplied by the facility during the inspection. It was confirmed by the manager that there is not a system in place to notify parents of what was given to children during the day. Information must be made available to parents regarding food and drink given to children for the health and safety of the child. A response is required by December 2, 2025 to outline how parents will be informed as required.

  • C9.1 - Are there plans and actions in place to ensure medications are stored and administered properly?Non-critical

    Observation. Two children had Epi-Pens at the facility at the time of the inspection and did not have any corresponding documentation to support the allergies on file. Any medication that may be administered at the facility requires permission from the parent/guardians as well as evidence the Licensee has agreed to administer the medication. A response is required by December 2, 2025 that outlines how documentation will be obtained as required. If the children are still attending the facility confirmation permissions have been received is required. Two children's Epi-Pens were confirmed to be kept in each of the children's backpacks within reach of the other children. It is the responsibility of the Licensee to ensure that medication is not accessible to the other children in care to maintain the health and safety of all children attending the facility. A response is required by December 2, 2025 that outlines how medication will be stored as required.
