  Observation. Upon review of employee records it was noted that one employee does not have the required criminal record check completed under the Criminal Records Review Act. To ensure the health and safety of children in care a criminal record check completed under the Criminal Records Review Act is required prior to a person being employed in the facility. Submit to Licensing the system developed to ensure that employee records will be complete prior to a person being employed.

  Observation. It was observed that staff files were missing ECE certificate validation completed by the Early Childhood Registry.

  Observation. It was observed children's files were missing other information that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency.

• C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

  Observation. It was observed the fire drill system was not displayed in a prominent place.

  Observation. Reviewed an employee record while on site, discussed the system to ensure all required information is present, which appears to be effective. Discussed that medical practitioner forms are no longer required, and the process for ensuring reference check documentation is kept on file. Upon discussion it was noted that due to unexpectedly early closure, the emergency preparedness plan practice was not completed in past 12 months. Please submit the plan to ensure the emergency preparedness plan is practiced every 12 months.
