• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. The Licensing Officer reviewed the system the Licensee has in place for ensuring that children's records contain all of the legislated requirements. The Licensee's system was noted to be ineffective. - Two children's files were missing a physician's name and phone number. - Several weeks of children's departure times were missing from the daily attendance. - Three children were missing a photo and other information that can be readily used to identify the child in an emergency. *THIS CONTRAVENTION WAS CORRECTED DURING THE INSPECTION.* Incomplete children's records is a reoccurring contravention originally found out of compliance on March 9, 2022 and April 21, 2023. The Licensee is required to submit a plan that will ensure the facility will come into compliance as well as maintain ongoing compliance.

  Observation. One staff member was missing evidence of completing a course, of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition.

• C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

  Observation. Two staff files were missing criminal record checks.

• C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

  Observation. A review of the children's files found some were missing the names and telephone numbers of a medical practitioner as well as medical insurance plan numbers. A review of the daily attendance found missing departure times.

• C1.2 - Does the licensee operate the facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care?Non-critical

  Observation. A test for Radon needs to be completed and results submitted to Licensing.

  Observation. A review of the children's files found some were missing the names and telephone numbers of a medical practitioner as well as MSP numbers. A review of the daily attendance found missing arrival and departure times.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. The facility does not have a system in place for monitoring the fridge temperature. Two fridges are on site and one was registering above the recommended temperature.
