  Observation. Upon inspection, Licensing observed the servicing for the fire extinguisher to be overdue

  Corrective action. The fire extinguisher will be serviced as required

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. During this inspection the following were observed: A large barrel full of yard debris and water is in the backyard, construction on a wooden platform in the backyard is not completed and children have been playing on this platform, the fridge temperature is 6.5c and cleaning products were accessible to children.

  Corrective action. The manager will ensure children do not play on the wooden platform until construction is finished, the barrel is removed, the fridge is between 0-4c and that cleaning products are not accessible to children.

• LICENSING

  Applicants for licences and licensees must notify a medical health officer immediately of any change in the information provided under section 9.

  Observation. A wooden platform is being built for children's play in the backyard. Licensing had not been informed that this platform was being constructed.

  Corrective action. The manager will update the facility site plan and provide a copy to the Licensing Officer.

  Observation. Emergency supplies are being stored in a cupboard. The manager said the wheeled container they were in broke and has not been replaced.

  Corrective action. The manager will ensure the emergency supplies are stored so they can be taken out of the facility.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (c) the resources to be made available to the child requiring extra support by the licensee, including (i) any adaptation of the community care facility necessary to ensure the child's safety or comfort.

  Observation. Medication for one child with a care plan had expired.

  Corrective action. The manger will ensure all medications have a current expiry date.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  In respect of a record referred to in this Division, a licensee must (c) produce records, on demand, to the medical health officer.

  Observation. Files for three children were not available . The manager said she had the files but did not know where they were.

  Corrective action. The manager will make sure files are available for all children.

  A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (a) the diagnoses relevant to the child's requirement for extra support, as made by health care professionals.

  Observation. A care plan is not available for a child requiring extra support.

  Corrective action. The manager will ensure that a care plan is available for this child.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

  Observation. Time out has not been recorded on multiple days and absences are not being recorded.

  Corrective action. The manager will ensure time out and absences are recorded accurately
