  Observation. This item is a carry over from Routine Follow Up Inspection dated April 22, 2024 regarding children from another licenced program using the washroom in the Group Child Care (School Age) program. Licensing was also notified this date that there was an unlicenced program being operating, up to five days per week, in the Group Child Care (School Age) program that is in the Gym.

  Corrective action. Ensure the facility is operated in a manner that will promote the health and safety of children in care, specifically related to capacity and terms and conditions on the licence.

  Observation. Licensing observed the protective surfacing under the single spinning wheel, on the composite climber, measured less than one inch and there were tree roots exposed.

(Educator or assistant certificate validation) Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Upon review of staff records, a certificate was not verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. The Manager explained this Certificate was renewed.

  Corrective action. Please ensure certificate issued under Division 2 (Employee Qualifications) are verified by the system maintain by the early childhood educator registry.

  Observation. Upon review of 3 staff files, 2 staff files had expired CRC's dated January 30, 2020. Third staff had a valid CRC on file, but it was not site specific. Manager mentioned that CRC's application for all the staff has been submitted to criminal records review program
