Observation. A cloth blanket was used as the diaper change surface, which cannot not be effectively cleaned and sanitized.

Corrective action. The licensee stated that a non-porous diaper change pad will be used going forward.

Observation. Information about the morning and afternoon snacks provided to children daily was not provided to families.

Corrective action. Licensee will provide a corrective action plan.

Observation. Licensing was not notified within 24 hours as required that a child had been involved in a reportable incident as described in Schedule H of the CCLR.

Corrective action. Licensee will provide a corrective action plan.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): During inspection Licensing observed: - Cloth blanket was used on the diaper changing surface. Licensee removed it during inspection - Soiled diapers were placed on top of paper hand towels that were stored on the lid of the diaper pail. The licensee disposed the diapers in the pail and removed the paper towels at the time of inspection.

Corrective action. Licensee said a non porous surface will be used to change diapers so the surface is cleaned & sanitized between each diaper change & diapers will disposed in the diaper pail & paper towels will kept beside the sink.

A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Fire drill for month of August was not documented. Licensee said the fire drill was conducted last Friday of August but was not recorded. Licensee documented it during inspection.
