A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

Observation. During inspection, Licensing observed the following: Outdoor Area: -2 dog feces were found in the play area. Staff removed them & said dogs will not access the yard during daycare hours. -4 rusted metal pipes with sharp edges were protruding from the garden bed. Staff said all will be covered with pool noodles, as one already was. -Rusted metal pipes with sharp edges were stored beside the fence. Staff said a barrier will be used to prevent children access. -Outdoor shed door appeared shut but was not secured; staff locked it during the inspection. - Child gate to the staircase was not in place. Staff explained it’s oversized and a wooden post will be added to secure it. - 3 adult bikes were stored in the play area with rusted chains. Indoor Area: -Travel-sized conditioner bottles were stored in a bathroom drawer at children’s height, and sanitizer & fabric softener spray bottles were stored on the bathroom sink. All items were removed during the inspection.

Corrective action. Manager will provide Licesning a plan to ensure the above items are inaccessible to children at all times.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

Observation. Licensing reviewed 6 children files. One file was missing # Msp number.

Corrective action. Staff said parent will be contacted to update child's file with this information.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

Observation. Attendance records for April &June 2025 were not available during the inspection. Staff said they have the records but are unsure where they were kept.

Corrective action. Staff said they will develop a system to organize attendance records.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (g) any notification of a parent, emergency contact or medical health officer made under section 55 [notification of illness or injury].

Observation. 6 children files were reviewed; one file was missing emergency contact information.

Corrective action. Staff said family will contacted to update child's file with this information.
