    Observation. One out of the 3 playpens had a hole in the mesh.

    A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

    Observation. In the children's washroom, the sink's hot water temperature was 51.8 degrees Celsius.

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. Upon inspection of outdoor play area, a slide used by children does not have adequate protective surfacing. The Manager explained the slide was moved due to the sun and that she is aware that the protective surfacing is not enough.

    Corrective action. Please ensure the depth and adequacy of protective surfacing is maintained.

    Observation. Daily attendance record, indicating for each day weather the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure were unavailable. The Manager explained she was unaware of this information, but will begin to keep this at the facility.

    Corrective action. Please ensure records for each child are kept for at least 2 years from the date the child is discharged form the community care facility.
