    Observation. Licensing observed a piece of the fence was broken, causing a big enough space for a child to get through

  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): A string of plastic decorations were hanging over a hot baseboard heater. The plastic may melt or ignite. A phone charger and an electrical cord were accessible to children in the nap room.

    Corrective action. The manager moved the decorations and will not let plastic decorations hang over a hot baseboard heater. The phone charger and electrical cord were removed.

    Observation. Urine was in a potty in the bathroom. Large bags of garbage and garden waste were accessible to children in the yard.

    Corrective action. The manager will ensure potties are cleaned after every use and that the garbage bags are removed.

    A licensee must supply equipment, furniture and supplies that are (a) of sturdy and safe construction, easy to clean and free from hazards.

    Observation. A swing set has been installed in the backyard and is unstable when touched.

    Corrective action. The manager will ensure the swing set is securely anchored into the ground and will not use the swing set until this has been done.

    Observation. Time in was had not been recorded for two children today and time in had not been recorded for one child yesterday.

    Corrective action. The manager will ensure that time in is accurately recorded for all children.
