A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. Large equipment outdoors is very dirty.
Corrective action. Licensee said she will wash the equipment.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. Toilet seat is chipped on several areas exposing the interior. Unable to sanitize appropriately.
Corrective action. Licensee said she will replace the toilet seat.

Observation. There are not enough emergency supplies for eight children for up to 72 hours.
Corrective action. The manager will ensure that there are sufficient supplies for all children for up to 72 hours.
13020 - CCLR s.22(1)(b) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.
Observation. Files for seven children were reviewed. Contact information for a doctor or medical clinic was not available for two children and contact information for an emergency contact was not available for two children.
Corrective action. The manager will ensure all children's files contain the required information.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (i) a photograph or digital image of the child, and other information that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency.
Observation. Files for seven children were reviewed. A photograph was not available for one child.
Corrective action. The manager will ensure a photograph is available for all children.

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. A fabric sheet/cloth is being use as a diapering station. The licensee stated that she does sanitize after each use and weekly will run it through the washing machine. The concern is that the fabric material can still absord bodily contents and thus, should it be required for another child's usuage there is a risk of cross-contamination.
Corrective action. Ensure that diaper changing process demonstrates a healthy and sanitary practice
