  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

  Observation. 1 child missing an emergency contact that is neither parent and/or guardian.

  Corrective action. The licensee will follow up with the family to obtain this information.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 2 departure times from this week were not recorded. During the inspection, this was corrected.

  Corrective action. The licensee will ensure all children in care will have their time of arrival, departure, and absences recorded daily.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. Each child has their own hand cloth that is used multiples times per day. Licensee said that the clothes are laundered at the end of each day. Licensed observed that the cloths were damp and explained to the Licensee how these damp cloths can harbour bacteria. Licensed explained that if the Licensee wishes to use cloths then they would be one-use only meaning that she would need multiple clothes available per child. Other wise, the Licensee may use disposable paper towels to dry children's hands.

  Corrective action. Please ensure an alternative to drying hands is implemented are mentioned above.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

  Observation. 1/4 children missing MSP#. Licensee has connceted with parents to obtain this.

  Corrective action. Please ensure children's files are complete with all required information.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

  Observation. Licensee's child was not indicated on the attendance sheet. As per the Licensee, she was unawaure that she needed to sign in/out her child.

  Corrective action. Please ensure all children, including Licensee's child, are recorded on the attendance sheet.

  A licensee must keep current records for each child showing (a) the information set out in subsection (2), (b) if applicable, the information and agreements set out in subsections (2.1) and (2.2), and (c) the consents referred to in subsection (3).

  Observation. Licensee's child does not have a registration file, only emergency consent form available. As per the Licensee, she was unaware that her child needed a registration file. Licensing explained that her child is part of the program ratio and as a result, requires a registration file.

  Corrective action. Please ensure required documentation (registration file) is obtained for child.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (j) a record of any person who is not permitted access to the child.

  Observation. Licensing observed correspondence outlining an unauthorized pick-up for one child's file. This information was not indicated on the child's registration form. The Licensee's current registration form does not have a section to indicate "unauthorized pick-ups". Licensing and the Licensee discussed adding this section to registration forms.

  Corrective action. Please ensure unauthorized individuals are indicated on the child registration form.

  Observation. 2/4 children missing doctor information. As per the Licensee, the families do not have a family doctor. Licensing explained that walk-in clinic is sufficient information to have.

  Corrective action. Please ensure children's files are complete with all required information.
