A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

Observation. The outdoor playground space has a dome climbing structure that is located close to the fence. This does not allow for sufficient space in case a child were to fall.

Corrective action. Manager said they will move the dome climber back so there is sufficient space around the dome in case a child falls.

A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

Observation. Fire extinguisher has not been serviced annually.

Corrective action. Manager said they just bought the fire extinguisher however there is no evidence of when the extinguisher was purchased or serviced last. Manager said she will attach the receipt and/or the tag after serviced.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

Observation. Licensing reviewed 5 children's files of which 2 were missing an MSP number and 1 was missing an immunization status

Corrective action. Please ensure all children's files are complete and up to date
