A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.

Observation. Immunization status was not obtained for one employee.

Corrective action. Manager said she will connect with the employee and update the staff file to include the immuninzation status.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation)

Observation. Validation was not obtained for one employee.

Corrective action. Manager said she will review the staff files and ensure they are complete and up to date.

A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

Observation. Licensing observed manager name was not displayed.

Corrective action. Manager stated she will display her name in a prominent place, next to the License.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

Observation. Licensing reviewed 5 children's files of which all 5 were missing gender

Corrective action. Manager stated she will add gender to her forms and connect with families to complete.
