A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

Observation. Managers name was not posted

Corrective action. Staff said they will post "manager" sign next to the managers posted certificates.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

Observation. 6 children files were reviewed of which 3 were missing an immunization status

Corrective action. Licensee said she will contact the families to confirm immunization status and update files.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (b) character references in respect of the person.

Observation. A minimum of two character references were not obtained for one employee and A minimum of three character references were not obtained for the manager.

Corrective action. Staff said the files are with the licensee, however, licensing was unable to review. Staff said they will ask manager to provide copies of documents for file on site

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (c) a record of the person's work history.

Observation. A record of the person's work history was not obtained for two employees.

Corrective action. Staff said the files are with the licensee, however, licensing was unable to review. Staff said they will connect with the licensee and ask for her to provide copies to have on site.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs.

Observation. Immunization status was not obtained for two employees.

Corrective action. Staff said the files are with the licensee, however, licensing was unable to review. Staff said they will connect with the licensee and ask for her to provide copies to have on site.
