A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

Observation. Outdoors: a. Top step entering the child care has a reflective strip that is peeling and lifting up posing a tripping hazard b. Standing water in toy ride on car and water table Indoors: a. No thermometer in fridge: children's snacks and lunches held in fridge b. Diaper change mat ripped and torn with the foam exposed

Corrective action. Outdoors: a. Licensee said she will stick the refector back down b. They will empty the water table and standing water in toys before and after play Indoors: a. Licensee said they will purchase a therometer for the fridge b. They will replace the diaper change mat.

A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

Observation. Manager name is not posted

Corrective action. Licensee said she will post the name and contact information for the manager asap

A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

Observation. Frie drill is missing for December 2025.

Corrective action. Licensee said they will organize the fire drills for the year so that they don't miss any

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

Observation. Licensee reviewed 3 staff files of which 1 CRC was not site specific

Corrective action. Licensee has applied for a site specific CRC and is currently awaiting reply.
