    Observation. Elcectiral cords are accessible to children in the nap room.

    Corrective action. The manger will ensure children do not have access to the cords.

  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. The ceramic tiles surrounding the toilet in the children's bathroom are loose and uneven. There is a concern that the toilet may also start to shift. Porous subflooring material has been exposed between the tiles making the areas difficult to clean and sanitize.

    Corrective action. The manager will ensure that repairs are made to the tiles and will monitor the toilet to make sure it remains stable.

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. Licensing observed the followings : - A gate, in the backyard/outdoor play space, which connects to the next door neighbour's back yard could not be closed properly. It is accessible to children. This poses a potential risk. - A wooden panel, in the backyard/outdoor play space(beside the gate), was disrepair. This poses a potential hazard.

    Corrective action. The Manager said she will have it fixed immediately. In the meantime, increased supervision will be implemented near the broken gate.
