• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Outdoor Fence: a panel is lifting from the bottom, creating a gap/opening that is larger than 3.5 inches.

  Corrective action. Ensure that there are no spaces/openings on the fence posing potential entrapment hazard.

• LICENSING

  A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

  Observation. CCFL licence was not posted onsite.

  Corrective action. Ensure that CCFL licence is posted in a prominent place within the facility.

  Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (a) children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E.

  Observation. Multi-Age CC, incl. none under 12 mo. - Maximum group size of 8 was exceeded. There were 4 children under 36 months present.

  Corrective action. Ensure that appropriate group size is maintained as permitted in Sch. E of CCLR.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

  Observation. The care plan was not reviewed annually with the parent for a child requiring extra support.

  Corrective action. Ensure that care plan is reviewed yearly ( minimum) with the parents.
