  Observation. Licensing reviewed 5 children's files and one file was missing a record of immunization.

  Corrective action. Ensure all children's files are completed.

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following: - some areas of the facility were showing signs of dirt on floor and door frames - paint on baseboards was pealing

  Corrective action. Manager said that they were planning to paint the facility in the long weekend.

  A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are (b) safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following: - a hole/gap at the bottom of the fence measured 1 foot 9 inches and 6 inches deep - cement block having sharp edges

  Corrective action. Manager said that they will add more woodchips to the playspace to cover the hole and the cement block.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): During the routine inspection 7 children's files were reviewed. One child's file was missing an enrollment date.

  Corrective action. Please ensure all children's files are complete.

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. Storage of a drain snake tool in the tub accessible to children, next to where the diaper change pad, and potty seat are stored. This promotes contamination of bacteria (corrected during inspection). Storage of heater accessible to children in the playroom. Heater was not in use at the time of inspection. Licensee stated this will be moved to an area out of reach.

  Observation. Floor tiles in the entryway showed wear, and cracks exposing the floorboards below. Licensee stated they have hired a person to complete the work.

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

  Observation. Of seven files reviewed, one file was missing name and telephone number of an emergency contact.

  Corrective action. Please ensure to have a record showing the name and telephone number of the emergency contact for each child.

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. During inspection licensing observed: -There was crack in the wall near the kitchen table, giving access to the materials. Manager stated that they had brought this to the attention of the landlord, and were in the process of having that addressed. -The seal around the bathroom sink had black substance. Manager stated that it needed to be cleaned. -One fence board had a gap at the bottom, giving access to children climbing under. Manager stated that the wood chips had been displaced from the area, and would be replaced, along with a board at the bottom.

  A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

  Observation. During inspection 3 cabinets containing bug traps, batteries, plastic bags, and charging cables were accessible to children. The latches on the cabinets were in place, however, they did not prevent access.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health and safety of a child.

  A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

  Observation. Manager's name was not observed to be posted in a prominent plance.
