  A licensee must have in writing from a parent, and maintain at the community care facility, consent (a) to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident or illness if the parent cannot immediately be reached.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 10 children's files, of those 2 or more files contained no record of consent to call a medical practitioner.

  Corrective action. Manager explained there is a new registration system, where the parents give permission upon registration, however the record is unavailable for review in the system. They are working on correcting this.

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): -One cable was located across one door (corrected during inspection) -The spray bottle with cleaners was located on a low counter accessible to children in care (corrected during inspection)

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Three areas were observed to have electrical cords accessible to children. This was corrected during the inspection.
