EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed that few beds had sheets on them and the bedding was touching. This promotes cross contamination.
Corrective action. Staff separated the bedding and corrected the contravention while licensing was on site.

A licensee must not employ as a manager a person who, at the time that the person is managing the licensee's community care facility, is also managing another community care facility.
Observation. Manager is managing two locations and the application for exemption expired.
Corrective action. Manager will apply for new exemption or assign a new manager.

EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. One safety gate located at the top of the stairs, was modified due to it breaking.
Corrective action. Licensee said that they had contacted a carpenter and will have it repaired by the end of the following week.
