  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): During the inspection licensing observed a hot tub on site with minimal water in it. The hot tub was unlocked.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing reviewed 8 children's files and two children were missing a date of enrollment.

  Corrective action. Ensure children's file are complete.

• STAFFING

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation)

  Observation. Licensing reviewed the staff file and noticed that one staff's ECEA validation was missing.

  Corrective action. Ensure staff files are complete.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

  Observation. During the routine inspection licensing measured the water temperature and it measured 60 degrees Celsius.

  Corrective action. Manager said they will address the hot water immediately.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. During the routine inspection the following was observed: - the hot tub in the back yard had standing water in it and it was uncovered on one side - there were 4 semicircle tubes with raised tubes attached with standing water in the tubes - the trampoline had a space measuring 1.5 feet deep and 1 foot wide and it was accessible to the children - 3 kebab metal sticks were in reach of the children on the BBQ - the BBQ was uncovered and easily accessible to children - a few planks on the porch were rotting and a hole on the porch was covered by a bucket - a white fence with 4 inches slots was moving and in disrepair - black berry bushes were coming through the fence and into the yard - a standing kids pool had standing water in it

  Corrective action. The manager said that they will adress all the itmes in due time.
