A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

Observation. Licensing observed the following: - paint chipping and a few holes showing the dry wall - a few areas of the facility showed dirty finger prints on walls and doors

Corrective action. Ensure the facility is clean and in good repair.

A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

Observation. Fire Extinguisher has not been serviced annually

Corrective action. Ensure fire extinguisher has been serviced annually.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

Observation. Licensing reviewed 6 children's files and the following was observed: - one child's file was missing a dr name and ph nr - two children's files were missing an emergency contact person This is a repeat contravention from 2024.

Corrective action. Ensure all children's files are complete.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

Observation. During the routine inspection 6 children's files were reviewed and one child's file was missing an MSP. Manager said that the family is new to Canada and they don't yet have an MSP number.

Corrective action. Manager said that she will speak to the parents and will get an update on the MSP number.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

Observation. During the routine inspection 6 children's files were reviewed and one child's file was missing a dr name and phone number.

Corrective action. Manager said that the family is new to Canada and they don't yet have a family doctor information.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (i) a photograph or digital image of the child, and other information that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency.

Observation. During the routine inspection 6 children's files were reviewed and all were missing a photo or digital image of the child.

Corrective action. Manager said that she has asked the parents for a picture of the children but none were provided. Manager said that she will take a digital photo of the children in care.
