    Observation. Upon walk through the facility licensing observed paint chipping in a few areas on the walls of the facility.

    Observation. A minimum of three character references were not obtained for the manager. This is a repeat contravention from 2024.

    Corrective action. Manager said they will add two more references to their file.

  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. during the inspection of the outdoor facility licensing noticed the following in regards with the fence surrounding the facility: - the last panel of the fence (behind the shed) had a missing plank at the bottom of the fence and the bottom of the fence was rotted and had some holes in it. - several panels of the fence have been patched up because the fence has holes in it. - when licensing pushed on the fence to verify the sturdiness of the fence the fence moved. The fence will have to be replaced or repaired.

    Corrective action. Licensee will look into getting some fencing quotes and looking into replacing the fence of the entire facility.

    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. -The wall mounted towel rod in the bathroom was removed from the wall giving children access to the drywall. -The door mat had a hole in it where below there is as hole for draining rain water. This could pose a tripping hazard.

    Corrective action. Please ensure the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
