Observation. - The Licensing Officer observed that the record of monthly fire drills was not available. It is important to maintain a complete record of monthly drills as per Section 56 of CCLR. Submit a written compliance plan including evidence to address this issue on or before 22-April-2025. - No record of 2024 emergency evacuation practice was available. A record of this serves as a reminder of when the plan was last practiced and demonstrates that it has been completed as required in Section 56 of CCLR. - C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical
Observation. The following was unresolved from the previous Routine Inspection: - "Adults present at the facility providing a program of activities to children without any records on file". During today's inspection, two adults were present providing same program of activities to children and there were no records on file for these individuals. It is required that individuals over the age of 12 who are ordinarily present, must have required documentation on file. Submit a written compliance plan including evidence to address this issue on or before 22-April-2025. - Upon further review of employee records, it was observed that the manager's file was missing their character references. As per Section 19 of CCLR, a Licensee must not employ a person until all required documents have been obtained. Submit a written compliance plan including evidence to address this issue on or before 22-April-2025. - The manager indicated that they have not practiced implementing the fire drill system this year. As per Section 22 of CCLR, each employee must practice implementing the fire drill system at last once each month to prepare for emergency situations. Submit a written compliance plan including evidence to address this issue on or before 22-April-2025.

Observation. The Licensing Officer observed an incomplete log of outdoor play space checks. Thorough daily, monthly and annual inspection of the outdoor play space must be performed and a complete log should be maintained. Observation. At the time of inspection, the facility licence was not displayed. Ensure the facility licence is displayed in a prominent place in the community care facility.
- C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical
Observation. Licensing observed the following: • There were two adults present at facility providing a program of activities to children. These activities occur twice a week for two hours each day. There were no employee records including criminal record checks for these individuals. Ensure anyone over the age of 12 is not ordinarily present unless required documentation is obtained. • There were incomplete records indicating that each employee practiced the fire drill system at least once a month. Ensure every employee practices implementing the fire drill system at least once each month. • Upon reviewing employee records, a first aid certificate of an employee who works alone with children, was found expired. Ensure children must have at all time immediate access to an employee who holds a valid first aid and CPR certificate.

Ensure each child record shows the immunization status of the child. • It was observed that the staff were not recording children's arrival times into the program. Ensure daily attendance records indicate the times of arrival and departure.

Observation. Licensing observed that the daily playground check was incomplete. Ensure thorough daily, monthly and annual inspections of the outside play space are performed.
