    Observation. A sampling of the children's registration files were reviewed. Some of the files did not include children's personal health numbers or photos / digital images.

    Observation. Licensing observed the last fire drill documented as occurring on May 21 2024. This date is also documented as when the last annual emergency preparedness drill is also required. Please plan for these two drills.

    The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

    Observation. Licensing observed the following: * first and second bathroom sinks have cracked porcelain and may break further, especially the sink located in the first bathroom * a wall located in the first bathroom, behind the diaper change table is in need of repair and re-painting * deep clean is needed of kitchen appliances as they were visibly soiled

    There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

    Observation. Licensing observed emergency preparedness supplies in place except for food and water. A discussion was held with the care providers who confirmed that food and water supplies were recently available however they could not be located during this inspection.     Observation. Licensing observed a missing ECE certificate validation for an employee as noted previously in the last inspection report.

    Observation. Licensing observed staff files missing documentation demonstrating the training to meet the qualification required of Responsible Adult as previously noted on the last inspection report. A representative of the Licensee informed Licensing that they are waiting to receive documentation/ confirmation of certification for one staff.

    Observation. Bleach / water spray bottle is available and prepared daily. Soap / water spray bottle is available. Liquid hand soap and single-use hand towels are available at each hand sink. Licensing observed a change station located in the children's washroom that appeared unsanitary. An employee informed that it is not utilized and instead children's diaper changes occur with the child in a standing position.
