  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. While there is a cleaning routine in place, and LO has no concerns around sanitizing and cleaning the facility. There are step stools accessible in the bathroom (for children's use) that appear to require a deep cleaning.

  The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]

  Observation. Records are kept and most information is available, but it was observed that some children do not have an emergency contact on their emergency form that is different that the parent, and while an immunization form is on file for a child, no immunization status was completed.

  Observation. The facility is newly built, with new equipment and supplies. In the bathroom there is one faucet that the manager stated has been repaired, LO noted that it is loose again and could be a hazard.

  There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

  Observation. While there is a plan in place, with supplies for an emergency, the fire extinguishers appear to have not been serviced as outlined on the tag.
