The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction. They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]
Observation. As per discussion, the bathroom appears to need daily cleaning and ongoing maintenance as it is an older space, and is showing signs of wear and tear.

Observation. LO observed that children's files are incomplete with some missing immunization status, and emergency contact that is not in addition to parents. While licensee stated that she is continuing to work on children's files and a process, she is aware that there may be some gaps.

Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]
Observation. While program has only been operating for a short period of time, no fire drills have been conducted with children in care. Each month staff and children must practice a fire drill and once a year conduct an emergency plan.
