Observation. Licensing observed that the facility’s changing mat was ripped, making it difficult to clean and sanitize effectively. This item is not in good repair. Licensing noted that the surfacing in the outdoor play space (previously grass) has mostly died, leaving the surface primarily dirt and hard ground. Although the current season has kept the surface dry, during the rainier months the outdoor space may become very muddy and slippery. This may become an issue in the future and an area of non-compliance, as it may be difficult for children to safely walk and crawl in muddy conditions.
