  Observation. Licensing observed the following: - a metal plate leading up the ramp location near the front entrance has come loose, posing as a potential tripping hazard. - several areas in the outdoor space at the front of the facility have broken rubber flooring, including holes and uneven surfaces. This is a concern for tripping and rolled ankles.

  Observation. The wood mud kitchen located in the sand box had broken rotten wood and exposed nails. The mud kitchen was discarded during the inspection. Two heavy wood school bus panels were leaning against the fence presenting a tipping hazard. The panels were discarded during the inspection. Two wood planters had broken wood and exposed nails. The area under the deck was closed off with a shower curtain. It was discussed to have a more secure barrier to prevent children from going under the deck.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. Licensing officer observed a folded up ping pong table unsecured to the wall that presented a hazard of tipping over during an earthquake. Staff informed the licensing officer they prepare the beach water solution for sanitizing on a weekly basis.

  Observation. Licensing officer observed that the area under the deck and stairs on the outdoor playground was open on one side.
