A record for each child containing the daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(c)]; A record for each child containing the name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(d)]

Observation. Children's files were reviewed with the following missing information. There is daily attendance showing which children are present. As most children arrive from class and depart when the program ends at 5:00pm (Monday to Thursday only) there is no time noted. But, LO did observed a few children who departed prior to 5:00pm, therefore departure is not the same for all children.

Evidence of compliance with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs has not been obtained. [CCLR Sec.19(1)(b)]; Character references have not been obtained. [CCLR Sec.19(1)(b)]; Copies of any diplomas, certificates or other evidence of the person's training and skills have not been obtained. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)(d)]; Records of staff's work histories have not been obtained. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)(c)]

Observation. There are two staff currently hired for this program. One is the Manager, their file is completed. The second staff has a file with CRC only. All staff supervising children must have a complete file prior to working on site.

Persons employed as responsible adults are suitably qualified. [CCLR Sec. 29 and 19(4)(b)]

Observation. Two groups (classrooms) were operating side by side. One group is supervised by the Manager, with the second group supervised by a staff person. There is no record of the staff persons qualifications to act as a Responsible Adult (RA)
