Observation. In the Bumblebee room, Licensing was unable to locate one child's medication (i.e. inhaler). When asked, an educator informed that this child has discontinued using an inhaler therefore an inhaler was not kept on site. A discussion took place regarding obtaining the medication if this child requires an inhaler while in care. Educators will follow up with the parents to clarify.

The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction. They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]
Observation. Licensing observed the following: *Blue Heron Room -broken Venetian window blinds in the reading corner (leading to the outdoor space) -Under sink cabinet with a broken cabinet pull/handle. *Children's bathroom -inconsistent calking around the toilets -inconsistent calking around the sinks. -the far left sink appeared to be rusty.

Observation. In the Blue Heron Room, Licensing observed tools being stored in the unlocked under sink cabinet (with a broken handle).

The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]
Observation. Licensing observed a wooden owl decoy being taped and placed on top of the pergola in the outdoor space. When asked, staff informed that this owl was dive bombed by a crow and fell off the pergola. Discussion took place regarding having a permanent means of securing the owl.
