  Observation. Licensing observed that a child's emergency medical consent card included information that the child was asthmatic. When inquiring of this, Licensing was informed that this child is no longer asthmatic and does not require medication. Licensing was not able to observe documentation on the child's file indicating this.

  Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

  Observation. A child's epi-pen expired in September 2022. The acting Manager informed that although the child was not in care today, they were yesterday. Another child's epi-pen will expire at the end of this month. The acting Manager informed that the child's family has been contacted as a reminder to provide a new epi-pen.

  Hazardous objects and substances are inaccessible to children. [CCLR Sec 17]

  Observation. Licensing Officer observed cleaning products stored in an unlocked under sink cupboard. Employees' purses were observed stored accessible to children. Licensing recommends that they are stored inaccessible to children in the event they contain medication or any other item which may be deemed harmful to children.
