  Structural changes have been approved by Licensing. [CCLR Sec. 10(2)]

  Observation. Upon arrival to the Licensee's home, Licensing Officer observed a renovation had occurred to the kitchen. It includes the removal of a wall and a relocation of the stove. No prior notification of the intended kitchen renovation was provided to Licensing as required. This was discussed with the Licensee during the inspection. The Licensee's husband informed that a permit(s) was sought for the work via the Strata. Licensing Officer will contact the City of Vancouver to seek clearances for the work that has been completed.

• PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / Hazardous Objects and SubstancesNon-critical

  Hazardous objects and substances are inaccessible to children. [CCLR Sec 17]

  Observation. Licensing observed an under-counter cabinet in the kitchen where cleaning supplies were stored. No locking mechanism was in place to prevent children's access to the supplies. The Licensee informed that a child-safe lock will be acquired and put in place.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING / Records For Each ChildNon-critical

  The licensee has written parental consent to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident or illness, in cases where the parent cannot immediately be reached. [CCLR Sec. 57(3)(a)]

  Observation. The emergency medical consents were reviewed of the four children enrolled. One of the consents did not include a parent's signature. The Licensee informed that the parent's signature will be sought.

  There is an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency. [CCLR Sec. 22(1)(b)]

  Observation. The emergency preparedness supplies appear to be sufficient to support the children and Licensee. Licensing observed the food having an expiry date of March 2024. The water supplies expired in 2022. (Inspected by LO - IT AX.)
