    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. The child lock under the sink in the Infant toddler room is broken and no longer locks There are areas in the playground that require repair - resilient surfacing in one area has eroded, landscape cloth is bare and presents a tripping hazard. Licensee discussed a plan to replace this material. Privacy slats used to prevent the chain link fence from being climbable only are present on one section of the playground

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. The following was observed: - Nap mats are made up with bedding in advance and are stored with the bedding on some of the mattresses touching. This is not considered hygienic. - Staff bags and purses are stored at child level in both classrooms - 4 out of the 5 plants at child level in the 30 months - school age classroom are considered toxic plants that children should not have access to. - In the under 36 month classroom, cords were found loose and hanging down from appliances and pose a strangulation hazard
