  A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.

  Observation. Fire Extinguisher has not been serviced annually

  Corrective action. Please ensure to have an emergency plan with valid equipment to respond to any emergencies.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. The facility requires 3 toilets and 3 sinks for children. At today's inspection, Licensing observed one toilet was out of order and the stall was closed.

  Corrective action. Ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided to all children while in care.

  Observation. Character references were missing on file for one employee.

  Corrective action. Ensure staff files are complete.

  Observation. One staff was missing a copy of criminal records clearance on file.

  Corrective action. Ensure all staff files are complete.

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. The wooden benches in the outdoor play space are in need of repair.

  Corrective action. Ensure the CCF is in good repair at all times.

  The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

  Observation. Licensing observed that two care plans did not have evidence of annual review.

  Corrective action. Ensure care plans are reviewed at least once each year with a parent of the child or any person requested by the parent.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following; - The screw used to secure the tall storage shelf within the classroom has come unattached. This is a topple hazard. - The edging strip at the door way has come unattached. Masking tape has been used to secure the strip, however it has worn out causing the strip to be loose and be a tripping hazard.

  Corrective action. Please ensure the a safe environment is provided at all times while children are in care.
