    A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

    Observation. Outdoor play area needs maintenance; school care climber has mold that needs to clean; an area inside the red playhouse has wood piece exposing sharp edges. Please keep the wood chips racked to even the surface under swings.

    Corrective action. Manager will provide written response outlining corrective action plan.

    Observation. Cleaning supplies stored under the sink in school age care washroom.

    Corrective action. Manager directed the staff to remove the hazardous items from the washroom.

    Observation. In School Age Care washroom, one toilet seat was not secure and the lid of water tank attached to the toilet seat was not in place.

    Corrective action. Manager said that they are aware of this concerns and currently working on to get it fixed.

    Observation. Early Childhood Education Assistant certificate was not validated for two employees.

    Corrective action. Manager said that she will verify staff certificates.
