A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

Observation. Plastic bags stored under the kitchen and washroom sink

Corrective action. Please ensure that children do have access to anything hazardous while in care.

A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as either Preschool (30 Months to School Age) or Group Child Care (School Age), must have in a community care facility a sturdy surface for changing diapers, located outside the food preparation area, next to (a) a covered container for soiled clothing.

Observation. No covered container to dispose diapers in the washroom.

Corrective action. Licensee said that she will buy is this weekend.

A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.

Observation. Beach solution not made daily. Staff cleaning diaper change table with diaper wipes.

Corrective action. Staff will make fresh bleach solution daily to clean and sanitize all surfaces.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

Observation. No attendance records for the month of March and April 2025. There were part time children enrolled at that time.

Corrective action. Please ensure that facility records are kept for two years.
