  Observation. Licensing observed that the cubbies have not been secured to the wall.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following in the outdoor play area; - A plastic play table that is broken in one spot around the top side. - Two cloth foldable chairs that have green mold stains on them. - The plastic handlebars of a tricycle, have green stains on them.

  Corrective action. Ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair.

• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

  Observation. Licensing measured the water temperature in the bathroom at 50.2 degrees Celsius. The Licensee informed Licensing that they will assist the children with washing hands until the water temperature is addressed.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49 degrees Celsius.

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following that are accessible to children in care; - A roll of the outdoor fencing material and a broken exersaucer with the pieces dispersed under the stairs of the covered cement outdoor play area. - A carpet located at the entrance that has all the corners curled up. Potential tripping hazard. - There is green painters tape and some paper taped to the floor in the main play area. The tape and paper are coming off the ground, and the tape has dirt on it. Potential tripping hazard and potential for a young child to put the lifted dirty tape in their mouth. The Manager has corrected this during the inspection.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (d) name and telephone number of a parent, medical practitioner and emergency contact.

  Observation. Upon a random review of four out of eight children's records, Licensing observed one child's record missing a medical practitioner's name and phone number. Education provided on what would meet the intent of this regulation.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that children records are complete prior to the child attending community care facility.
