  Observation. On Fridays there is an early childhood educator assistant as the second staff.

  Corrective action. Ensure that the second staff is an early childhood educator.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (a) a criminal record check for the person.

  Observation. 1 staff person did not have a criminal record check addressed to the facility.

  Corrective action. Ensure the criminal record check is received addressed to the facility.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (f) evidence that the person has complied with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Immunization status was not obtained for one employees.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation) Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): 2 educator certificates were not verified. The Licensee contact completed during the inspection.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation)

  Observation. Two staff files were reviewed and one staff working in the program on the day of the inspection did not have evidence of the ECE Certificate being validated by the ECE Registry. LO reviewed this item with the manager during the inspection.

  Corrective action. Ensure all staff files are complete including validation of ECE Certificates.

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a) name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status.

  Observation. Three children's files were reviewed and one child did not have evidence of Care Card available at the time of the inspection.

  Corrective action. Ensure all children' files are complete including Medical Insurance Plan Number.
