The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction. They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]
Observation. The rooms are clean and in good repair. Discussion with Manager and Licensee Contact (on site at time of inspection on May 28), regarding some minor wear and tear to stools and shelving. There are multiple outdoor areas. In this respect, LO is speaking to the space outside the Toddler room with access to the other play spaces. LO observed a staff with two children using this space for a short period. While it appears to be a good additional space for small groups, some areas could be addressed. For example, there is no gate at the top of the stairs and there is an opening at one side of the base of the stairs to the building allowing for access under the building. There were also some weeds and thorny roses growing the garden.
